We are on a mission to shape a future in our county based on social and economic justice, environmental stewardship, and government for the needs of the people. We need committed Democrats to help make this vision of transformation a reality.
We welcome you to find out how you can be a part of the new Democratic spirit of Anderson County, Kentucky.

When you file your Kentucky state taxes, you'll see an option to donate $2 to a political party. If you check the box for Democrats, that money goes directly to your state and county parties. And here's the best part: it doesn't reduce your refund or increase what you owe. Every little bit helps!

As we enter 2026, I want to thank everyone who has donated time, energy, and commitment to our local Democratic Party.
"We're your neighbors" isn't just a catchy phrase for our banner. It defines the Anderson County Democratic Party's commitment to our community. We truly are your neighbors — concerned citizens who show up for one another through volunteering, organizing, engaging new voters, or simply having thoughtful conversations with our fellow citizens. Democrats are here to make a change, and there is no better time than right now.
2026 is a year that could improve our county, commonwealth, and nation in important ways, and every citizen can contribute in one simple way — your vote. Voting this year is not optional; it is essential for those that want government by the people and for the people, rather than government by the self-proclaimed elite.
Local, statewide, and Congressional races abound in 2026, so make sure you are educating yourself on those candidates running for office. Of particular interest to Anderson Countians at the federal level are the House seats open wide in the 6th and 1st Congressional districts. The U.S. Senate seat to replace Mitch McConnell is hotly contested by both Democrats and Republicans. Please check the CANDIDATES tab of this website for the names and contact information for these candidates, in addition to access to information on municipal races.
The Democratic Party is the one that looks forward, not back, and searches for solutions, rather than dwells on problems or blames others for them. We can return our government to serving the families of Anderson County. We will need perseverance and a willingness to work together, but I am confident in our ability to meet this moment. By remembering and working hard toward our shared values we will make a difference in Anderson County.
Take a few minutes to look at the resources listed on the website; information on voting, running for office, and how to donate and/or volunteer. Read about our mission — I bet you'll agree it's a mission with something to benefit every citizen.
Let me extend an invitation for you to join us on this journey, and ... Let's get to work!
— Kay Cox, Anderson County Democratic Party Chair
